Last week our school were lucky enough to have an experience of UBUNTU the African children's choir. Starting Wednesday with an action-filled workshop the whole school learnt about Kenya and Uganda and how to dance like them. They not only had amazing talent but had such a kind heart. They were playing games with us and were high fiving, hugging and just saying hello. They were so much fun and by the end of the day they were sleeping like babies.
On Friday at 7:00pm UBUNTU had a concert where they performed and told stories about Africa. Some of the stories were about how they got into the choir and their lives in Africa. Holy Cross students were involved in the choir too. Years 3-6 got the opportunity to perform at the concert. The UBUNTU have such an amazing talent that they shared with us over the three days we spent with them.

On the 25th of April our school commemorated ANZAC Day in Gisborne and marched with pride by representing our school.People from all over the Macedon Ranges came to watch the beautiful service that the Gisborne Council provided for us. There were other Anzac ceremonies around the area including the Mt Macedon dawn service, Riddells Creek service and Sunbury service.
All the Grade 5/6 teachers including our PE teacher came together to select football, netball and soccer teams to represent Holy Cross. We have only had tryouts for netball, soccer and girls football teams so far. The teachers chose appropriate teams from the students who tried out. We would like to say thanks to all the teachers and student who trialed for these sides.
