Dear Holy Cross Parents, Students and Staff,
As we come to the end of Term 3 I take this opportunity to reflect on the many amazing
experiences that this Term has brought.
An incredible amount of learning has occurred this term across all Year levels. This was
evidenced in the effort and pride that the students demonstrated at their recent Student-led
Conferences. A number of excursions and incursions have also been experienced throughout
the school. I am very proud of the hard work and dedication of all staff at Holy Cross Catholic
Primary School to provide rigorous and thought-provoking learning opportunities for all of our
The LIFE group, Parents and Friends group and our Parish Board have worked hard this term

My sincere congratulations to the staff and students in the Year 6 level. It was a privilege to
work with you and support the planning for and celebration of the sacrament of Confirmation
earlier this term. The learning and guidance provided by Amanda Thomas and Luke Wenczel
at this time was acknowledged and positively fed back to me at both ceremonies.
I would also like to commend the staff and students in Year 4 for preparing so well for the

Our students have had a number of opportunities this term to engage in extra sporting
competitions. Thanks to the dedication of staff and parents for providing time outside their
regular programs to coach, supervise and support teams competing in Athletics, Basketball,
Softball and Tennis.
The Trivia Night and Father’s Day Breakfast were two of our very successful school functions
in Term 3 which brought together many members of our school community. Thanks to the
organisers and supporters of these events.
Term 4 brings with it a great deal of excitement as we look towards many opportunities of
learning for our students. Our Camp program which includes, Preps In Pyjamas, Year 1
Activity Night, Year 2 Sleepover, Year 3/4 Camp and Year 5/6 Camp will be fantastic learning
opportunities for all students.
Please make note of the calendar of events included in this Newsletter and pop any upcoming
events into your diaries so that you don’t miss out.
I wish you all a very safe two weeks of rest and reconnect with your families and I leave you
with this prayer;
